Hi Steve et al,
I am still having major problems, I think it is mainly due to the IDIOT
virus infesting my brain, but I am really appreciating your help in
this.
I did have the logformat above the logfile command, the top of my cfg is
as follows:
APACHELOGFORMAT ("%h %l %u %t \"%r\" %s %b %v \"%{Referer}i\"
\"%{User-agent}i\" \"%{Cookie}n\"")
# The logfile(s) to be analysed
# LOGFILE logfile.log
LOGFILE /home/analog/xxx/xxx.log
And the error I get back after it running is as follows:
S: Successful requests: 0
S: Redirected requests: 0
S: Failed requests: 0
S: Requests returning informational status code: 0
S: Status code not given: 0
S: Unwanted lines: 0
S: Corrupt lines: 28340
analog: Warning L: Large number of corrupt lines in logfile
/home/analog/myseafm/07012001.log: turn debugging on or try different
LOGFORMAT
(For help on all errors and warnings, see docs/errors.html)
Current logfile format:
"%S %j %j [%d/%M/%Y:%h:%n:%j] "%j%w%r%wHTTP%j" %c %b %v "%f" "%B"
"%j""\n
A few lines out of a log file is as follows:

I assume you put the LOGFORMAT command above the LOGFILE command?
If you turn debugging on, it will tell you exactly where each line was
corrupt. That should help you to figure out what's wrong with your
LOGFORMAT.
