According to your description of your analog directory
on your desktop, your first example points to the analog
directory and not to your logfile. If your logfile is within
your analog directory on your desktop, then something
like this is in order
LOGFILE C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\analog\server.log
or
LOGFILE C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\analog\somefile.log
