I recently changed the logformat from common to combined (with some
extra text added for clarity) and then back to "plain" combined. I also
added HostNameLookup to my apache conf.

When I run analog 5.24 on my log file (which contains lines in any of
the three possible formats mentioned above) with DEBUG C turned on it
complains about a *great* deal of lines.

However if I redirect the error output into a file, remove the "C: "
added by DEBUG C, and then run analog on the file containing the
"invalid" lines, analog doesn't complain.

For example the first line analog complains about is:

C: sapnni-04s1p145.ppp12.odn.ad.jp - - [26/Jun/2002:11:50:25 +0900] "GET
/image/img/ACT/133_IRO_100.jpg HTTP/1.1" 304 - "REF:
http://www.av-navi.co.jp/ActNews01.html"; "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE
5.0; Windows 98; DigExt)"
C:

*

If I run analog on a file containing this same line (cleaned up of the
debug C:)

sapnni-04s1p145.ppp12.odn.ad.jp - - [26/Jun/2002:11:50:25 +0900] "GET
/image/img/ACT/133_IRO_100.jpg HTTP/1.1" 304 - "REF:
http://www.av-navi.co.jp/ActNews01.html"; "Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE
5.0; Windows 98; DigExt)"

Analog doesn't complain at all and successfully creates a report.

Is this a bug? Why does it complain about a valid line? How can I get
analog to parse my log file properly?

Jc
