You make good points.  In the first case, I can relate
because I often see various spellings for Athletics and
Mathematics by end users.  In the second case, I can
see that large sites that cover many topics might have
more interest in topics than in particular words.

I can imagine a Search Word report that incorporates
aliases (assuming that aliases are specified in the config
or on the command line).  I can also imagine the Search
Word report grouping aliases in a manner similar to the
way the Domain report groups domains under TLDs.
Of course, it's easy for me to imagine because I don't
write the code.  :-)    There may not be enough interest
in these features for the author to include them in Analog.
