 analog -G +C"DNS ON" +C"DNSFILE dnsfile" ...

You can always use +C to specify any Analog configuration file command
from the command line. If it gets really complicated try making a
simple command file, say 'simple.cfg' with ONLY the commands you need
(i.e. DNS and LOGFILE). Then run

  analog -G +gsimple.cfg

The reason for suggesting the command line was to make sure nothing
else was getting included.
