Thanks for the explanations about how to use analog from cmd line. I now was able to do the test. The result are exactly the same as with the analog.cfg I used before. Anyway I have to stop now ...its past 1:30 am here and I need some sleep. I will try to create small sample files tomorrow if possible.
The cmd for processing both files together was: C:\IBM HTTP Server\analog\analog 5.22>analog -G +C"DNS READ" +C"DNSFILE dnscache .txt" +C"DOMFLOOR 1r" +C"SUBDOMAIN *.*.*" C:\AccessLogs\charlieAccess.log C:\Ac cessLogs\oscarAccess.log > c:\accesslogs\output.html analog: analog version 5.22/Win32 analog: Warning D: In Domain Report, FLOOR (requests) doesn't match SUBFLOOR (bytes) (For help on all errors and warnings, see docs/errors.html) analog: Warning D: In Domain Report, SORTBY (bytes) doesn't match FLOOR (requests) analog: Warning D: Turning all pie charts off because OUTFILE is stdout and CHARTDIR is unset analog: Warning L: logfiles C:\AccessLogs\charlieAccess.log and C:\AccessLogs\oscarAccess.log overlap: possible double counting analog: Warning R: Turning off empty Search Word Report analog: Warning R: Turning off empty Operating System Report The results of the domain report are: Charlie logfile only: Listing domains, sorted by the amount of traffic. reqs: %bytes: domain ----: ------: ------ 869: 100%: .com (Commercial) 869: 100%: ibm.com 241: 28.61%: raleigh.ibm.com 164: 15.06%: es.ibm.com 143: 13.77%: zurich.ibm.com 38: 11.54%: au.ibm.com 53: 7.42%: lig-dial.ibm.com 50: 7.14%: za.ibm.com 27: 4.89%: hk.ibm.com 21: 3.13%: il.ibm.com 21: 3.09%: dk.ibm.com 83: 3.00%: be.ibm.com 19: 2.11%: uk.ibm.com Oscar logfile alone: reqs: %bytes: domain ------: ------: ------ 239839: 100%: .com (Commercial) 239839: 100%: ibm.com 223147: 88.46%: zurich.ibm.com 11347: 3.93%: emea.ibm.com 831: 2.62%: de.ibm.com 1094: 1.25%: be.ibm.com 792: 0.89%: raleigh.ibm.com 285: 0.75%: es.ibm.com Oscar + Charlie logfiles processed with the cmd line test reqs: %bytes: domain ------: ------: ------ 240708: 100%: .com (Commercial) 240708: 100%: ibm.com 223290: 87.66%: zurich.ibm.com 11347: 3.89%: emea.ibm.com 831: 2.59%: de.ibm.com 1177: 1.27%: be.ibm.com 1033: 1.19%: raleigh.ibm.com 449: 0.90%: es.ibm.com ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeremy Wadsack" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, January 09, 2003 12:51 AM Subject: Re: [analog-help] wrong domain report when processing multiple files > > Hanspeter ([EMAIL PROTECTED]; Wednesday, January 08, 2003 4:35 PM): > > > I was not able to run the cmd line test you asked for.
