GeoIP seems to be a plug-in that is used by other log processors like
AWStats, so I think it can't do processing independent of the
enclosing program.
You could preprocess the server logs to convert the remote host address into a
country name (or place the country name in the userid field, or another
"unused" field you want to repurpose).
Of course you could also extend the remote host address/name instead, for
example
