It depends on what information you're after. For instance, I have a report where I look for possible intruders (nimda, codered and that lot). We give them a special treatment and so occasionally I peruse the report that reports such suspected intruders. I am interested in how frequent they are, and what the actual requests are, such that I can instruct apache to deal with appropriately. > What information should I expect to glean from them? > What can that information be used for? > How do YOU use Analog? You could be studying the processing time of various scripts; optimisation might help your users response-time. You could be looking at bandwidth usage to try to plan for the next line upgrade. You could be looking for 404s to report them to your developers.
