One thing you might try is to add a line like: #define NOALARM to anlghea3.h near the top, perhaps right after the line: /*** OS specific things ***/ then recompile and see if that makes any difference. That will turn off alarms, which caused problems on another system, OS X, at one time. I suspect that this is really a problem with your DNS server, not with Analog. If the DNS server was to crash or hang for some reason that would cause the same effect. I don't know if you are using your own DNS server, or one from your ISP, but getting some information about various peoples DNS servers might help us spot a pattern. For example, 'One Fish Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish' can be deconstructed as a searing indictment of the narrow-minded binary counting system. -- Peter van der Linden, Expert C Programming, Deep C Secrets +------------------------------------------------------------------------ | TO UNSUBSCRIBE from this list: | http://lists.isite.net/listgate/analog-help/unsubscribe.html | | Digest version: http://lists.isite.net/listgate/analog-help-digest/ | Usenet version: news://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.web.analog.general | List archives: http://www.analog.cx/docs/mailing.html#listarchives +------------------------------------------------------------------------
