That would be the sensible thing, but analogs interpretation is slightly
different - all that flag means is that analog will be compiled without the
parts for graphics support, but the libpng directory is still included in
the build, and the analog binary is still linked with libpng. The libpng
sources simply include an IFNDEF NOGRAPHICS. Somewhat unorthodox, IMHO.

You need to do a "make clean" after editing the Makefile - otherwise, the
libpng modules will not be rebuilt.
