Well, Analog is originally designed to analyze web logs, so it's language and parsing are focused on that. It does pretty well with ftp logs. There is a helper application to coerce it to handle mail logs. It doesn't do very well with proxy logs (because it's not really meant to handle two directions of data). If you get useful analyses out of it, you can always customize the language files to make the reports even more meaningful.
