For the Classic environment, I believe you need to use the
pre-compiled version listed for download under "Macintosh" at
http://analog.cx/download.html (the .sit.hqx files).

For OS X why not just download with curl or scp or some command-line
tool? Then you can script it and you probably won't even have to think
about it.
