No, I ask the question because in my case, I have my homepage that analog
reported as redirected 22,695 times yesterday. Yet the request report
tells me that the most requested page which is not the homepage had 12973
requests.
Why would this happen?

If you consider a 2 line logfile, the first line being a 301 redirect
request, and the second being the actual page viewed by the end user
(the target of the redirect, if you like, which is recorded with a 200
status code), then Analog will report:
Successful requests: 1
Successful requests for pages: 1
Redirected requests: 1
Distinct files requested: 1
Distinct hosts served: 1
Clearly the end user only "viewed" one page, but equally clearly, there
are two entries in the logfile. I can only assume that you are asking
the question because you actually consider the two hypothetical log
entries as two "page views", but, as the FAQ
(http://www.analog.cx/docs/faq.html#faq181) says, that would really be
double counting.
