I want to exclude all statistics attributable to certain host ip addresses like googlebot and msnbot addresses.
For example, I tried the following to exclude all of the msnbot hosts logged in my log file: HOSTEXCLUDE 65.54.* The above did not work so I tried: HOSTALIAS 65.54.* msnbot HOSTEXCLUDDE msnbot The above did not work so I tried: HOSTALIAS 65.54.188.90 msnbot.msn.com HOSTALIAS 65.54.188.91 msnbot.msn.com HOSTALIAS 65.54.188.92 msnbot.msn.com HOSTALIAS 65.54.188.93 msnbot.msn.com HOSTALIAS 65.54.188.94 msnbot.msn.com HOSTALIAS 65.54.188.95 msnbot.msn.com HOSTEXCLUDE msnbot.msn.com The above worked but it would seem that the first or second method should have worked too. What I am doing wrong?
