Hi,

I'm using Analog 6.0 under Windows 2000. I want to call Analog with the
name of the logfile as a parameter and use my config file. I tried this
one:

analog -G +gintranetshort.cfg access__06052005.logm

and

analog access__06052005.logm -G +gintranetshort.cfg

Both giving the following errors:

Warning D: LOGFORMAT in configuration file
intranetshort.cfg with no subsequent LOGFILE
F: Opening access__06052005.logm as logfile
analog: Warning F: Can't auto-detect format of logfile
access__06052005.logm: ignoring it

I have a valid logfile format definition in the config file, which works as
expected when access the logfile from within the config file. Here it seems
that Analog loads the logfile first and tries to auto-detect the format -
in the config file, LOGFORMAT is supposed to be before LOGFILE. What is the
correct way do call Analog that way?

What I want to do is (maybe there is another approach): I have 2 different
daily logfiles from 2 different load-balanced servers. For each I want to
make a different report which should go into a different directory. I
actually wanted to make a batch file which takes 06052005 (in the above
example) as parameter, creates directories, runs Analog and then
ReportMagic to put the files into that directory. Then run Analog again
with the second logfile and the second report. There should be a daily
report for each server (-> two reports a day).

Regards from Berlin,
Guenther
