Just as a matter of interest, what are you doing that takes 3 hours? I can process a couple of gigs of logs in 10 minutes on Windows using Analog. The only circumstances where Analog will take anything approaching 3 hours are if you have DNS lookups turned on, or possibly if you only have a tiny amount of available memory. If you create a short zip file containing a few logfile lines on the VMS machine, can Analog open it properly? If it does, can you create the same zip file on the machine that the logs are coming from, and see if it still works when you transfer it?
