Subject: Re: [analog-help] Starting
up.
I just configured the same thing...
the how-to I used was here:
Everything worked except I use one main log file for the duplicate
information, and separate sub-log files for specific differences between
domains -- like the location of the log files. With that configuration, the -G
option did not apply to me (see the shell script mentioned in the
how-to).
in a nut shell:
1. move all domain specific information from your existing cfg file to a
new cfg file.
2. duplicate the new cfg file for the number of domains you want a report
on, and change each one to reflect each domain's unique information (domain
name, report header, logo, location of log files, where to save the report
files, etc).
3. create the shell script file (as described in the how-to) and add to
your daily cron. If you're doing it with two config files, don't use the -G
option.
4. You'll also need to make a universal images folder (also described in
the how-to).

Hi,
I hope that some
one can help. I run a small business on the north west coast of
Scotland and have built web sites for myself and several of my clients. In
the past I have used an American based firm for obtaining hits to the sites,
registering each individually. My local server. Cali.co.uk has
recommend the analog programme as being much netter. I have made a start and
included my own business name and URL.in the config, and seen the
results. But I am not sure if I should then go into config and
add all the other names or if not then how do I set up each individual
one on my computer. I have printed off all the read me file but am getting
somewhat bogged down with that, I really need it a little more
simplified.
Hoping that you can
help
