I can't think of anything obvious, assuming you're using exactly the same
config files, just adding extra logs. Are you doing all the monthly reports
now, or are you looking at old monthly reports that you did last year? Are
you doing DNS lookups? DNS records change, so DNS lookups done 6 months ago
might be different than the same lookups done today.

Do any of the monthly totals look significantly different than the other
months?
