At least they're in the right order now! I'd agree that I would expect a
much greater overlap, especially in such a large pool, but it's not totally
out of the question (especially if your site attracts dialup users from
home, rather thn corporate users on fixed lines).

The simple test that I would suggest would be to do a reality check by
comparing the number of hosts in any two months with  the number calculated
for a combined report of those two months. Or better yet, do 4 weekly
reports, and compare the number of weekly hosts to the month total. If
you're seeing the same sort of spread, then it's probably just a diverse
audience.
