Analog is saying that it identifies my log files as: NCSA Combined. I was wondering if it would speed up processing if I told it what format the files were with Logformat? So I tried but cannot find the correct way to state the logformat command. Do I need to do this or just leave it alone.
Analog is fast - very fast. As Jeremy pointed out, you won't speed Analog up by bypassing the logformat analysis, which only happens on the first few lines of the logfile - Analog doesn't anayse every single line of the log to figure out the format.
The formats that Analog recognizes are described in the documentation: http://analog.cx/docs/logfmt.html#fmtexamples Aengus +------------------------------------------------------------------------ | TO UNSUBSCRIBE from this list: | http://lists.meer.net/mailman/listinfo/analog-help | | Analog Documentation: http://analog.cx/docs/Readme.html | List archives: http://www.analog.cx/docs/mailing.html#listarchives | Usenet version: news://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.web.analog.general +------------------------------------------------------------------------
