Aengus was referring to the event log (event viewer) in windows, not for
Analog. Analog can write an error log with ERRFILE command, the location of
which would be defined in your config file.

Most Analog users run it from the command-line, not the web. Especially when
processing large amounts of data. The log file data is static, so once run you
can save the report and view it as much as needed without having to re-process.
The form interface for analog is really mostly useful to help guide analysis
when you want to make changes and drill into different reports.

Running a gig of logs through analog from the web will probably take some time.
If you are the only one doing this (or it's a small group) then you can be
aware of the potential delay and configure your server to allow a longer
timeout for scripts/cgi. You'll need to look-up how to do that, I don't know
off-hand.
