I see that the reporting results are based on the files requested from the web-server. Because I’m checking a proxy server to see which site requests are using the most bandwidth, can Analog be tailored to report based on hostnames and not the file-types?

The request report displays the requests; for proxy servers the request would typically look like http://www.example.com/directory so you will get a hierarchical breakdown by hostname and directory. Depending on how many levels you show (or with aliasing) you can limit the display to just one entry per hostname.
