Hello, IntentReceiver with android.intent.action.BOOT_COMPLETED action can get the timing right after the system has finished booting. http://code.google.com/android/reference/android/content/Intent.html
I haven't kicked a service from IntentReceiver yet, but I think there is no problem to do it.
