I've now tried several distributions of linux and continue to fail to get java/eclipse/android stack working. May the gods spare me from having my friends find out I'm developing on a Windows machine.
My preferred linux is Ubuntu 7.10 (Gutsy); I've tried uninstalling Java and installing from Sun's java-ee-sdk but it keeps hanging. I've searched and read and tried a workaround or two. Bottom line: what versions of Java and Eclipse are people using on what distribution, with what installation procedures?
