Ok I want to be able to create a widget dynamically after a
setContentView. Here is what I have so far:

public class Demo extends Activity {
        /** Called when the activity is first created. */
        @Override
        public void onCreate(Bundle icicle) {
                super.onCreate(icicle);
                setContentView(R.layout.main);
        }
}

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<LinearLayout
android:id="@+id/widget27"
android:layout_width="fill_parent"
android:layout_height="fill_parent"
xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android";
android:orientation="vertical"
>
<Button
android:id="@+id/widget28"
android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content"
android:text="Hit me!"
>
</Button>
</LinearLayout>

Now after the line:
setContentView(R.layout.main);

can I add another button to the LinearLayout? How do I do this? This
is an oversimplification of what I want to do, hence the question
might sound silly.

If this is not possible, how can I create the above UI represented by
the XML file programmatically?
