Is it only my experience, or Android (I have 1.6 installed) has very
buggy and ... strange music support? I don't know what to start
from...
1) Is it true, that mp3 files with names starting from a digit are not
recognizable? It seems that Android phone simply do not see them. Is
it maybe a Linux OS limitation? Oh, no... I double-checked it. It does
see some mp3 files with names starting from a digit, but completely
skips other. So, is it something else... maybe dashes are not allowed
in folder names? Are there limitations in how deep folder hierarchy
can be?
2) I thought Android is going to create one album per each folder
where at least one music (mp3) file reside. But it somehow shows some
files located in a folder in one album, while others located in the
same folder - in another album. It looks like it takes some info from
mp3 files themselves to decide to which album (with what name) they
belong to.
3) For some of my mp3 files which contain songs in Russian language,
titles / artist names, etc. appear unreadable ... like they are in
Cyrillic in a wrong charset. Apparently, Android is taken this info
from inside of mp3 files. So, is there a way to edit those files on my
PC to replace Cyrillic text with Latin?
4) It's quite inconvenient, that I can only manage files directly when
my phone is mounted to my PC, but I cannot try results using Android
music player at that time (SD card is busy)
5) To be continued...
