Hello! My name is Nick and I am a computer science major at the University at Buffalo. This is my first time playing around with android. I started out with the Hello, World tutorial found at http://developer.android.com/guide/tutorials/hello-world.html I followed the tutorial using the eclipse ADT. After running the application, my emulator fired up, and displayed a black screen with "Android . . ." (and not "hello world" like it was supposed to). After sitting idle for about a minute it just displayed an Android text animation. It seems that the emulator is not even running my app. Any clues to why this could be? Note: I followed the directions and the source code exactly. I then deleted my emulator, created a new one and then tried again. No luck. . . Please help! Thanks again, -Nick
