There are also people who cannot get the emulator to get beyond the Android text animation, even letting the emulator run overnight (I had it running for over 24 hours). I am beginning to think that this might be a problem with older video cards but do not have enough datapoints yet. I am running on an older Dell laptop with half a gig of memory.
