Regardless of the number of versions it has only been around for a little over a year... perhaps two at the most. That is still a very young OS...
The OS doesn't mature based on SDK developers... The OS matures based on people that are actually developing the OS source code. As another person previously mentioned, the poster has received answers to several posts, didnt give any feedback, and then blows up with this post. Documentation is almost ALWAYS a problem with young software (and Android IS young)... It will get better with time. Often, it is not because the devs don't want to do it, but it is because the project and product mgrs place it as a low priority. I am not telling developers to go away... I am telling devs that aren't willing to deal with some headaches to go away... There is a big difference there. Is it really that hard to do documentation about the SDK with code examples? And exactly how is the OS going to mature when it's developers are telling beginners to go away? I certainly don't think that anybody related to the Android team wants developers telling the new comers to go away. Right now, the only way to figure out how to do most stuff is to do Google searches to see if anybody else has done it. The more developers, the better.
