Dear all, I have to establish a build environment for android. I was going through the documentation provided on android website in order to find out that which ubuntu version is best for installation. On one page it says
If you're developing against the AOSP master branch, use either Ubuntu 18.04 (Bionic Beaver) or the latest versions of macOS and Xcode with command line tools installed. and on the other, it says The Android build is routinely tested in house on Ubuntu LTS (14.04) and Debian testing. Most other distributions should have the required build tools available. You need a 64-bit version of Ubuntu (14.04 is recommended). Kindly let me know which version should I install 18.04 or 14.04 Thank you -- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the "Android Building" mailing list.
