As the deadline comes closer, I guess many developers are interested
in sharing their experience and opinions on the ADC and Android. After
all, all developers may benefit if "Google phones" prosper (even if
we, as the first divers, could not be the winners of ADC). And I think
Google will weigh the opinions of the individual developer more
seriously now than later.

First I must thank google for such an opportinity to have fun while
having a hope to be one of the winners. Google seems to be the most
generous one among all the smart phone / mobile OS companies that
offers software developers such a huge reward (although I admit there
is no free lunch).

Here is my two cents to the Android developer community

(I might be biased due to my limited knowledge on Android).

1. What I like the most:
It's open and it's free, which means more applications will be there
and the handheld can be more affordable.

2. What I dislike the most:
Backward compatibility. It's ok for the ADC. However developers will
be very much frustrated to have to consider all the possible
variations of Android versions and hardware versions.

3. My wish list:

Security: I am not talking about the underground linux user acounts
which is just very basic. I am thinking of:
I. Code signing: It is one of the major hurdles that prevents
applications to be installed to the smart phones today. A creative
method that balances the convenience, cost and security is my
expection.
II. PKI Certificates support and management

I would love to see others' like/dislike/wish-list. And my best wishes
to all the developers ...
