you can choose from several license options (I can only speak for
DroidStor that we make) - DroidStor supports freeware, share/
trialware, ad supported (this was not particularly effective in past
on PCs), one-time purchase and finally subscription, where you pay for
the app based on actual use. I for one a big believer in subscription
model but to make it truly effective, we need to go several layers
down to the core and have mobile operators to cooperate. Not something
I see happening in the next few years. Until then, we can have
surrogate payments models, like credit cards, prepaid cards and
paypal.
