Agreed: CowBay: clear revenue-generating strategy not fantasies about becoming Skype or Facebook Ya: Execution, sex & eyeballs lose $$$
As Ya says the days of VC gobbling up social networking & advertising companies are over. Skype was a waste of eBay $$$, MySpace is slowly dying, Facebook has proven that social advertising and gadgets are not viable, Twitter is a curious phenomenon but no revenue potential there. Google makes its $$$ the old fashioned way...by providing valuable information.
