Really good observation. The discrepancy between the developer's forum
(around 9000) and the challenge forum 2116, makes sense now. Only the
developers that were really interested in the challenge subscribed to
this forum. The rest of the developers are still interested in Android
but because of school, country of residence (i.e Italy, parts of
Canada) or other responsibilities, were not able to commit to the
challenge or they simply thought they had no chance competing against
developers from around the world, some of which are probably the best
of the best. Personally I know a lot of developers that would like to
learn Android simply to put it on their resumes and/or get a new job
(if Android becomes really hot) but they would never enter this type
of contest because they are of the type of people that believe that
they nor anybody they know could possibly win this challenge. By the
way, I try to stay away from that type of people as much as I can
(somtimes is hard because I have to work with some of them), they have
an incredible negative energy and will try to pull down with them
everybody they know. They get really mad when they meet people with
high positive attitudes and will always tell you that what you are
trying to do cannot be done. Anyway, I think i'm going off topic now
so let me stop now.
