John, If they never go ahead and publish the numbers why would you say
140? Remember that a lot of people are submitting sometimes 2, 3 or 5
applications (I submitted three by the way) so even if 140 were
representative of the unique developers there will probably be around
300 to 500 entries.
Heck I'd say around 1000 entries (and then I would emphasize that you
were competing with the best of the best from around the world, which
is probably true) If I were in the interview. Who is going to prove
you wrong? Google is not going to tell them you are wrong. As far as
we knew this estimate could be very close to the real one.
