That information I gathered from my personal experience. When I was in F1B VISA (Students) in my Graduate Program as an Alien studying in US, there was a limit that you can earn and not pay taxes.
I am not sure if its 20k or 50k, but am sure there's a limit that you can slide by if you are foreigner earning money in USA. Oh wait, now i remember more.. and your residence in US must not be less than 6 months for this to be applicable. Oh wait.. CONSULT YOUR LAWYER PLEASE!
