No games in the winners seems odd, but then again, it was the third
entry in the original googles suggestions !

The only really innovative application or solution in the first 50,
seems to be "writtint pad". A real innovation on user interface
interaction for small hand-held devices (shure hope they filed it for
a pattent).
But after seying their presentation video on You-tube I would like to
give them a suggestion:
- try to fade the touch drag trace line, based on the distance the
drag distance you have already travelled.
The further away from the current position the more transparent the
line should be.
I would also suggest a threshold of no more than 2 screen widths
length, to make drag trace fully transparent.

This will avoid the screen lines mess after writting any word that
uses 2 or more letters near the edges, making the middle keys
complettly unreadable !

Second suggestion, please support other "smarter" keyboard layouts,
like "Dvorak" for example!
You should probably also define a new layout specifically designed to
increase the usefulness of your approach, which means, to statiscally
reduce the ginger travel (this is what dvorak did for the english
language, and 10 fingers !
Try to improve it, when using a single finger.

Another, pseudo inovative solution is the AndroidScan. Although the
Bar code scanning concept is not really new, chinese use them alot,
the integration with the actual search engines for prices, samples
etc... is interesting, since most users are too lazy to search stuff
by themselfs.

The rest of the apps, from what I can see, don't have any true
innovation, although I haven't been able to see much videos or
presentations of the entire bunch iet.

P.S.
Odd enough, It's easier to find information, screenshots, videos,
entire websites, just from searching the web, then from Google
Officially Released info !
