I have an app which starts on RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED. It checks to see if preferences are already set and if so starts an activity which has no interface but just registers to handle changes in PhoneState. This is all fine but the user is left starting at a blank screen and has to press the Home button to get to a regular screen.
How can I get the Activity to get out of the way GUI-wise and let the Home and/or other apps show without user intervention?
