I'm having this issue as well, only after having installed everything
just today to start developing.

Using Ubuntu Hardy

Eclipse SDK Version: 3.2.2
Build id: M20070212-1330 (Ubuntu version: 3.2.2-5ubuntu2)


Update Manager for Eclipse also seems to be taking an eternity to run
as well. Perhaps the issues are linked?
