I'd like to get my hands on a pre-compiled copy of the source as well.
I don't have access to a MacOS or Linux machine and don't really care
to install anything like Cygwin, and I'm not interested in fighting
with a compiler trying to make it work.

the emulator in the SDK is using such an outdated version of the OS
and is missing so many needed features (such as the Settings app) I'd
really like to update the emulator to be current so I can test
applications safely before putting them on my phone.
