Figured it out. After grep'ing through the Android source code, found
and successfully implemented the following within my ListActivity.
BroadcastReceiver mIntentReceiver = new BroadcastReceiver() {
public void onReceive(Context context, Intent intent) {
if (intent.getAction().equals(Intent.ACTION_SCREEN_OFF)) {
Log.d(TAG,"caught ACTION_SCREEN_OFF");
}
}
};
public void onCreate(Bundle icicle) {
super.onCreate(icicle);
IntentFilter filter = new IntentFilter();
filter.addAction(Intent.ACTION_SCREEN_OFF);
registerReceiver(mIntentReceiver, filter);
}
