My focus is developers and users only, not operators, handset manufacturers or anyone else. For more advanced features, I'm placing a bet on HTML5 moving forward. You can check out details here: http://apps.facebook.com/zappmarket/help I've also moved away from a mobile marketplace client because it is an additional step to purchasing content (they are also a pain to deal with). ZappMarket is more about the social aspect of buying and discovering apps. > How does a user get updates to their app? > Once we get some traction with the user community, I will add a facebook notification option (which can include sms and/or e-mail). This is exactly what facebook is good at. Have you any features to prevent app piracy? > No. There are really only two things that could be done here. 1) have a mobile client that saves the apk internally (rather than on the SDK card) and install from there; 2) use a licensing system like AndAppStore has. Option (1) is similar to how Google does it and we all see how well that works. In terms of piracy protection, there are already solutions out there so rather than duplicate those, I'd rather focus on the social aspects which I think are not adequately addressed by other players. > Thanks for the information and best of luck with ZappMarket! > Thanks! > > Bryan > > On Jul 1, 4:35 pm, Shane Isbell <[email protected]> wrote: > > Thanks for taking a look, Steve.
