I'd have to be pretty dumb to confuse my phone with the emulator, wouldn't I?
I'm also using a SIM card that I've had in other phones for a long while. It might have even belonged to a different phone with a different number, before I associated my current phone number with my phone account. Come to think of it, that's probably it. That's the number of the other phone line I gave up. Ok, I am guessing Android needs a better way to find out the user's phone number than to read it from the SIM card...
