But why bother when there is already an open source preprocessor for
Java in Eclipse? It is called 'prebop' and there is an article on it
at

including a link to the SourceForge project.

So if the OP and others -r-e-a-l-l-y- want preprocessing, they can
have it. But I still have to question the wisdom of the choice. Sure,
there are the famous "tight spots" that only preprocessing looks good
for, but more often, those who insist on it really are still thinking
the C or C++ way rather than the Java way.
