@Leigh LOL. I think your amusement is warranted. What I meant to say is that a lot of the really great programming techniques, such as refactoring to patterns, tend to be explained in Java. I would suppose that really good programmers can write flexible Java code without the use of a preprocessor - and - that powerful IDEs can do a lot of refactoring automatically because there are no #define, #ifdef, etc. in the source code.
