I can see that I'm going to have to get an actual phone sooner than later, and for various reasons I'll need to get an "unlocked" version. As long as I'm laying out that many $$$, I might as well get one that I can use personally and shop some apps, etc.
So would the Samsung Galaxy S be suitable for development work? I assume that a general unlocked version would have all the expected Android built-in apps and would not have restrictions on what apps can be installed and from what sources. Any comments on this device? (This also assumes that I can actually get one. The effects of that chip shortage that they've been talking about seems to be hitting the supply lines already.) -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
