Maybe I'm just mean, but I don't distribute free betas to the public. Maybe I should start... Anyway, I offer in-app updates to customers in my market and off-market versions of my app. In preferences, they can switch to the beta channel and back a la Chrome. The betas have the same licensing code as the releases, so they can't be distributed without being cracked.
