Understanding how to declare activities in the manifest file, how to set the appropriate flags when starting them through intents, is quite challenging in all but the default cases. The combination of all these settings and flags is daunting.
I've been developing for Android for over a year now, have read the application fundamentals and the reference guide for 'Intent' quite a few times and still i don't have a good grasp of which manifest- settings or intent-flags should be used for starting activities in many situations (workflows).
