Hi Dianne,

Thanks for your response.

I'm doing all kinds of things :)

E.g. I think I figured out a way to have an app that has a 'home'
screen from which the user launches other activities, where (s)he can
go back to the home screen. It took me a while to figure out to use
the FLAG_ACTIVITY_CLEAR_TOP flag when launching the home-screen
(actually going *back* to the home-screen).

It would have been nice to have some document(s) with uses-cases or
work-flows that would explain in which situation what manifest-
settings/intent-flags to use.

I still am not sure when to use singleTask, for example. And the
purpose of allowTaskReparenting, for example (it is explained, but i
cant' quite understand what its purpose is).

Right now, all the activities I launch use the singleTop and it works
well, in conjunction with onNewIntent.

There is a lot of info in the dev-guides and reference-guides and on
the forums. But it is hard to put it all together and make real-world
sense of it... all these possible combinations of settings and
configs.
