I've been looking at the AdapterView but it's not clear how you tell it how many views wide for a 2-D arrays of Views. It's also not clear how you tell it which views are "pinned" and should not be included in either the vertical or horizontal scroll. Think of a spreadsheet where every column is a different size, every row is a different size, and the left-most column and top row are pinned (always on-screen).
